Easily aging is a characteristic of plastic products, because thermoplastic products under the action of oxygen, high temperature radiation and certain substances will quickly age and lose their original properties. General remedies for the aging of plastic products in addition to the addition of effective anti-aging agents and cryptogens during processing, but also need to try to improve the storage and use of the conditions that can promote its aging, slow down the aging rate. In particular, products with plasticizers should pay special attention.
(1) The creep of thermoplastic products is relatively large, and it is easy to cause permanent deformation under long-term stress. Therefore, attention should be paid to not too much stress in storage and use, so that the stress distribution is uniform.
(2) The vast majority of plastic products are water-resistant, but the storage conditions are too humid and not good. For polyamide articles, too much moisture absorption will cause changes in size and shape. For some phenolic plastics will cause loss of light, mold. As for unprocessed plastic raw materials, most of them are afraid of moisture and should be placed in a dry and sheltered environment.
(3) Most of the thermosetting plastic products have poor impact resistance, so they should be placed securely to avoid collision.
(4) Most plastic products will burn quickly after an open flame, burning quickly, and some can release strong corrosive and toxic gases. In addition, most of the thermoplastics will melt and decompose above 300 degrees Celsius. Therefore, the plastic products library should pay special attention to fire prevention.
(5) The suitable storage conditions for plastic products are: no direct sunlight, no too strong light, no frequent ventilation, no excessive humidity (relative humidity 50?70%), and no high or low humidity, the temperature of the plow is between 5?30 degrees Celsius, and there are no strong corrosive articles, volatile solvents and corrosive gases around. The code is safe and should not be too high to avoid too much stress on the bottom. First in, first out, the storage period should not be too long.
